The first thing you need to do is choose a nice card stock to print on. I should be white card stock otherwise the image color will be off. Then print out the PDF file on the card stock. It is marked as to where to trim the card and has arrows at the half-way point where it will be folded. If you want a card that is blank inside, all you have to do is print, cut to trim and fold. You are done.
If you want to customize the card you can use an image editing program like Photoshop, or some other image editing software that is capable of opening a PDF file. You open the file in the image editing software and edit it. Type your personalized text on the image. Print it out, trim the card, fold it and you’re done.
If you would like to add text to the inside of the card, you can do this in the image editing software or, use a word processing program like Microsoft Word.
Print out the PDF file. Do not trim or fold yet. Open the word processing program. Set up your margins as follows: For a horizontal card set the right & left margins to at least one inch. The top and the bottom at least ¾ of an inch. If the card is a vertical card, you must set the document as a landscape document, that is the page size should be 11 inches across and 8 ½ inches long. Once your page size is set, set the right and left margins to at least ¾ of an inch, and the top and bottom to at least one inch. These margins will ensure that you are within the area of the card. It is now up to you to choose the format and the text you would like inside your card. Choose a rather large font so that your text does not print out too small. You may need a little experimentation to center things, and get the print to look like you want it. Print out a test print on regular paper and match it up against the card to see if everything will line up ok. Once your test page looks ok, turn over the card you printed out earlier, and place it in the printer upside down; so that it will print on the backside of the card. Print the card, trim and fold.
